About this work
Vignette with the portrait of the personified Reason in an architectural frame in which at the bottom a cartouche with a scale is placed. Reason tramples two devilish figures to the ground with her foot, in her hands she holds reins and a whip. The print is part of a series of book illustrations on virtues and vices.
