About this work
A soldier on guard, full-length, facing right, holding a roer (a specific type of firearm) in his left hand. With his right hand he brings a burning match to his mouth to blow it clean. This depicts the same position as the one shown on the sixth print of the series. This print is part of the series of 42 numbered prints of roer shooters from the Wapenhandelinghe.
