The sailing carriage of Simon Stevin (center plate), 1602. Prince Maurice, together with a group of friends, makes a journey along the beach of Scheveningen to Petten in the sailing carriage built by Simon Stevin, April-May 1602. The prince sits among his friends in the carriage. In the foreground, a stone tablet with an inscription in Latin (the dedication). Center plate of a large composition consisting of three parts.
