The sailing carriage of Simon Stevin (middle plate), 1602. Prince Maurice makes a trip with a group of friends over the beach of Scheveningen to Petten in the sailing carriage built by Simon Stevin, April-May 1602. The prince sits among his friends in the carriage. In the foreground a stone tablet with inscription in Latin (the dedication). Middle plate (numbered b) of a large representation consisting of three parts.
