About this work
Simon Stevin's Sailing Wagon (center plate), 1602. Prince Maurice makes a trip with a group of friends along the beach from Scheveningen to Petten in the sailing wagon built by Simon Stevin, April-May 1602. The prince sits among his friends in the wagon. In the foreground a stone tablet with an inscription in Latin (the dedication). Center plate (numbered b) of a large representation consisting of three parts.
