About this work
The Trêveszaal, the new audience hall where the States-General receives foreign ambassadors, inaugurated in October 1697. The hall is filled with members of the States-General and various foreign envoys. On the walls, paintings with portraits of stadtholders and allegorical representations. With caption and legend A-S in Dutch and French. At the top, the seven coats of arms of the provinces; at the bottom in the center, the coat of arms of the States-General.
