About this work

The Trêveszaal, the new audience hall where the States-General received foreign ambassadors, inaugurated in October 1697. The hall is filled with members of the States-General and various foreign envoys. On the walls paintings with portraits of stadtholders and allegorical representations. With inscription and legend A-S in Dutch and French. At the top the seven coats of arms of the provinces, at the bottom in the center the coat of arms of the States-General.
