About this work

Design of a round medallion with, in seven concentric circles, the names of English kings and their years of reign, beginning with King Henry II and ending with Queen Anne Stuart. In the center of the medallion an emblem with a globe and three compasses. The motto of the emblem reads: "Semper Eadem".
