About this work
The personification of Sight. She looks into a hand mirror and is accompanied by an eagle. Around her lie measuring instruments, masks and a telescope. In the background a play is performed on a small stage. In the margin an eight-line inscription, in two columns, in Latin referring to the months May, June and July with which the sense of Sight is associated.
