Riot in Rotterdam against the chief official Jacob van Zuylen van Nyevelt, 5 October 1690. Popular uprising against the bailiff suspected of self-enrichment and following the alleged unjust execution of Cornelis Costerman. Sheet with impressions from multiple woodblocks. Center: a fight in the doorway of a house with soldiers on the street, below shooting soldiers and a group of people. Below the image two columns of printed text.
