About this work
Allegory of the Allied victories over the French in the year 1702. The bust of the deceased King William III in a laurel wreath with an inscription; to the left, Queen Anne seated on her throne and Hercules slaying monsters; to the right, Liberty with the Dutch Lion before a scene of the victory in the naval battle in the Bay of Vigo. Below the print, a sheet is pasted with, on the left, a list of the principal deeds of William III, in the center a poem, and on the right an overview of the victories in 1702.
