Left sheet of a large representation in two sheets of the Battle of Terheide (Battle of Katwijk) during the First Anglo-Dutch War between the States fleet under Maarten Tromp and the English fleet under George Monck, 10 August 1653. In the background the coast of Holland from Den Helder to Egmond. In the foreground the admiral's ship Brederode of Maarten Tromp in combat with a burning English ship.
