About this work
Carefree life. Life without worries. Satire on laziness. In a shoemaker's workshop, the shoemaker plays the bagpipes. Opposite him sits his wife, resting on her spinning wheel, a child at her breast. Other children play in the room. Against the back wall, two apprentices who are also not working. On the wall, an image of a woman sitting on a fence with several geese around her. With an inscription of 6 lines and a caption of 8 lines in Dutch.
