About this work
The bailiff complains to Count William III, who is lying ill in bed at Valenciennes. Scene no. 3 in a series of six small scenes of the successive episodes of the story of the Judgment of Count William III in the year 1336. These small prints belong on both sides of the large central scene. Each scene has an inscription consisting of a motto and a verse of two columns of eight lines.
