About this work

Large sheet with various depictions of the execution of the conspirators against Maurice, on 27 February, 29 March, and 5 May 1623. Centrally, the executions at the Hofvijver in The Hague. On both sides, portraits of the condemned with their executions. At the top, depictions of the discovery and hanging of the body of Slatius, numbered I-VI. At the bottom, the beheading of the Arminians at the Gravensteen in Leiden on 21 June 1623, with four portraits. Also included are two columns of text. This print is accompanied by a text sheet.
