Discovery, dragging away, and re-hanging of the body parts of Slatius, Coorenwinder, and Gerrits, 1623

The discovery, dragging away, and re-hanging of the body parts of Henricus Slatius, David Coorenwinder, and Cornelis Gerrits, conspirators condemned against Maurice, executed in February, March, and May 1623 in The Hague. Centrally, scenes numbered I-VI of the discovery on 16 May 1623 by a ploughing farmer of the buried body parts, the opening of the coffin, the dragging of the bodies back to the gallows field, and their re-hanging on the wheel. On either side of the central, cut-in-two plate, two columns of text are printed. With the inscription: Slatius comes out of the grave / and goes up where he went down.
