The Rediscovery of the Stolen and Buried Bodies of Slatius, Coornwinder, and Gerritsz, 1623

The discovery, dragging away, and re-hanging of the body parts of Henricus Slatius, David Coorenwinder, and Cornelis Gerrits, condemned conspirators against Maurice, executed in February, March, and May 1623 in The Hague. In the center, scenes numbered I-VI of the discovery on 16 May 1623 by a plowing farmer of the buried body parts, the opening of the chest, the dragging of the bodies back to the gallows field, and the re-hanging on the wheel. On both sides of the central print, two columns of text printed. With the inscription: Slatius comes uyt het Graff / en vaert op daer hy voer aff.
