A soldier, full-length, facing right, with a musket (a specific type of firearm) resting on his left shoulder. In his left hand, besides the stock of the musket, a fork (musket fork) and a burning match, ca. 1645. Printed on the reverse with text in French. Free after plate 2 in the instructions for handling the musket in the Wapenhandelinghe by J. de Gheyn. Military affairs around 1600.
