A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a specific type of firearm) and a fork (musket fork) with his left hand. He transfers the burning match from his right hand to his left hand, ca. 1645. Printed on the reverse with text in French. Free after plate 15 in the instructions for handling the musket in the Wapenhandelinghe by J. de Gheyn. Military affairs around 1600.
