About this work
A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a certain type of firearm) with his left hand near his left thigh and with his right hand sliding the ramrod into the holder under the barrel. In his left hand, besides the musket, he also holds a fork (musket fork). Printed on the reverse with text in French. Free copy after plate 30 in the instructions for handling the musket in the Wapenhandelinghe by J. de Gheyn. Military affairs around 1600.
