About this work

A soldier, full-length, facing right, holding a musket (a specific type of firearm) diagonally upward with his right hand, while placing a fork (musket fork) under the barrel, ca. 1645. Printed on the reverse with text in French. Free after plate 11 in the instructions for handling the musket in the Wapenhandelinghe by J. de Gheyn. Military affairs around 1600.
