About this work
Extinguishing a fire in a sugar refinery on the Lauriergracht in Amsterdam with old fire pumps and water from the canal, 29 December 1669. Nevertheless, the building burned down completely. On the right, household goods are being removed from an adjoining building. In the top left an open space left for an inscription.
