About this work

Conquest of Luxembourg by the French army under Marshal François de Créquy and the Marquis de Vauban on 4 June 1684. View of the siege of the town, in the foreground the French marshal and other commanders on horseback. At the bottom, smaller scenes, including the bombardment of Genoa from 17-28 June. At the bottom, an open cartouche intended for a calendar page for the year 1685. Two sheets pasted together.
