About this work

Allegory on the allied victories over the French in the year 1702. The bust of the deceased King William III in a laurel wreath with an inscription, to the left Queen Anne seated on her throne and Hercules slaying monsters; to the right Liberty with the Dutch Lion at a scene of the victory in the naval battle in the bay of Vigo.
