About this work

On the left stands the laughing Aesopus, Bombario in Harlequin costume, beside a group of monkeys eating cabbage (the victims of the wind trade). On the right, wolves hunt sheep. In the clouds, Mercury, the Dutch Lion, and Father Time. A four-column verse in the caption. Print 48 in the series Het Groote Tafereel der Dwaasheid with satirical prints on the Wind Trade or Stock Trade of 1720.
