About this work
Flood disaster after the breaking of the dikes at the major rivers between Arnhem and Culemborg, December 1740 - January 1741. Depiction of the area between the rivers with all villages and towns, in the foreground people and animals fleeing the water, but also many people in the water. In the clouds angels pour buckets over the land. On the sheet below the plate an explanation of the depiction with the legend A-S and 1-59.
