About this work
Allegorical print about the Netherlands struck by the flood of 14-18 November 1775 and other disasters in this year and in 1776. Centrally, a yacht sails over the flooded land and past drowned villages during the flood. At the top, five medallions with references to other disasters such as shipworm, severe winter, etc. In an allegorical frame with Fame and four river gods.
