About this work
The Naval Battle at Kamperduin on 11 October 1797 between the Batavian fleet under Vice-Admiral Jan Willem de Winter and a British fleet under Admiral Adam Duncan. End of the battle. Centrally, the Vrijheid (this ship under command of De Winter) mastless between three English ships and the Hercules, where the fire is still being extinguished; further, disordered Batavian ships under the English ships.
