About this work

Venus carries a flower and mirror. Above the medallion two smaller medaillons with rings and representations of the zodiac signs Libra and Taurus. Below the representation of Venus a half-medallion with two doves. Design for a stained-glass window for the Chamber of Commerce in the Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam. Sheet 8 recto from a sketchbook with 45 sheets.
