About this work
At the entrance of a palace, Vishnu in his incarnation (avatara) as a man-lion sits with a man on his lap whose intestines have been laid open; before him stands a reverent man (Prince Prahlada) with folded hands. Surrounding the scene is a narrow orange and a narrow gold border.
