About this work
Jacquard woven ribbon with abstract design composed of stylized flowers on green ground; brown and yellow stylized tulips arranged in cross formation joined by red elongated leaves which join to yellow abstract flower with blue circle at center; along edges is a black band outlined by narrow yellow bands along; interior yellow band interrupted by tulip design at intervals. Fabricated in St. Etienne, France between 1850-1900. From the Merci Train or Graditude Train from France.
