About this work

Jacquard woven ribbon with abstract design composed of a red rectangular banner outlined in yellow on a black ground; red banner is joined by a yellow and brown stylized leaf design with a blue center; the red banner contains a green 4-pointed star at center; continuous scalloped design band in yellow along edges. Fabricated in St. Etienne, France between 1850-1900. From the Merci Train or Graditude Train from France.
