About this work

Knobbed vase of porcelain with three knobs and a spreading neck, painted in underglaze blue and on the glaze in red, green, and gold. Painted in Japanese style with large flower branches (plum, chrysanthemum, peony, hibiscus, and iris); on the neck a band with standing leaf motifs; between the knobs and on the rim a band with lacework with a flower; around the foot a decorative band. Chinese Imari.
