About this work

Tall, slender egg-shaped pot with lid with knob of porcelain, painted on the glaze in blue, red, green, yellow, aubergine and black with two times two lobed cartouches staggered above each other with therein rocks, flowers and butterflies separated by a band with scattered flowers against a green field with black dots. In the cartouches the four seasonal flowers are depicted: peony (spring), lotus (summer), chrysanthemum (autumn) and prunus (winter). Around the foot is a border unglazed; around the shoulder a decorative band with hatching. On the lid a stylized chrysanthemum and a decorative band with hatching. Famille verte.
