About this work

Lid with knob of a lidded porcelain pot, painted on the glaze in blue, red, green, yellow, aubergine, and black with two sets of two lobed cartouches staggered above each other, containing rocks, flowering plants, and butterflies separated by a band of wildflowers against a green ground with black dots. On the lid a stylized chrysanthemum and a decorative band with hatching. Famille verte.
