About this work

Bottle-shaped porcelain vase with a pear-shaped body, painted in underglaze blue. On the body a continuous band with alternately scalloped, oval cartouches with cut-out flower vines against a blue background and narrow scalloped cartouches with a cut-out flower and ruyi motif. The shoulder with a band of hanging ruyi motifs against a blue background and a band with cut-out flower vines. On the neck a band with standing leaf motifs. Blue and white.
