About this work
Egg-shaped lidded pot of porcelain, painted in underglaze blue. On the belly a landscape with two women playing 'go' (long lines). Next to them two standing women, one of whom with a qin. The scene is closed with a cloud motif. On the lid two dancing boys (fools). Marked on the underside with an artemisia leaf. Blue and white.
