About this work

Porcelain dish, painted in underglaze blue. On the flat, a double medallion with a bird on a rock and a flying bird near the 'three friends of winter' (bamboo, prunus, and pine). The wall and rim with a continuous landscape with a rider and servant, houses, rocks, trees, and clouds. The exterior wall with a continuous scroll. Seven feet on the underside. Arita, blue-and-white.
