About this work

Assault on the defensive works of Ostend by the Spanish troops under the Count of Bucquoy on 7 January 1602. In the bottom left, fighting at the lunette on the other side of the Geule river; in the top center, a cartouche with an inscription in Latin. Above the print, the title with an explanation of the numbers; at the bottom, a description of the events in German. Part of the illustrations for a journal of the siege of Ostend 1601–1604.
