About this work
Assault on the defensive works of Ostend by the Spanish troops under the Count of Bucquoy on 7 January 1602. Bottom left fighting at the lunette on the other side of the river Geule, top center a cartouche with an inscription in Latin. Above the print the title with explanation of the numbers, at the bottom a description of the events, in German. Part of the illustrations for a journal of the siege of Ostend 1601-1604.
