About this work

A farmer and farmeress from the village of Cromhout on their way to 's-Hertogenbosch. The girl carries a large basket on her arm, the boy a stick with a hare and a knapsack. Fourth installment of four plates, published in 1805. Part of a bound edition of the series of twenty plates of Dutch costumes in the Batavian Republic at the beginning of the nineteenth century by Maaskamp, ca. 1807.
