Strip of lace embroidery with oak leaves and acorns

Strip of natural-colored needle lace: filet lace. The repeating and symmetrical pattern consists of a triangular scale with oak leaves and three acorns. The scale stands on a trunk with curling leaves and with a foot formed by a splitting chain of linked ovals, which continues as a garland through the foot of the subsequent (inverted) scale. The pattern stands alternately inverted and is embroidered in the darned technique, on a finely knotted network with square meshes. Around the motifs contour lines are applied with embroidery stitches with a slightly thicker and shiny thread. Top and bottom of the strip are finished straight.
