Strip of bobbin lace with stylised insects and snails in a corner

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Buckingham lace. The repeating pattern forms a wide band over the center line of the strip. It consists of five square puffs, which are placed at an angle under each other, alternating with a stylized insect with a circular body with double wings attached, which make the same angle as the square puffs. The puffs are made in form stitch. Each circular body of the insects is made in linen stitch. A thick and shiny contour thread runs around the circle, which continues in the mesh ground and forms the wings. The mesh ground concerns a net ground. Top and bottom side of the strip are finished straight.
