Strip of bobbin lace with diamonds and ovals

Strip of natural-coloured bobbin lace: witches' lace. The repeating symmetrical pattern consists of a diamond-shaped motif on the center line, in which a decorative ground with a block pattern is realized with buttonhole stitches. After each diamond, on the center line in an oval frame, stands a flower with a diamond-shaped heart, bobbin-made in net stitch, and fourteen rectangular petals made in buttonhole stitch. Above and below the diamond-shaped motif stands a similar flower, but halved. Above and below the flower with the fourteen petals, along the edges, an oval motif with a diamond-shaped decorative ground is placed. The top edge of the strip is finished with a straight band. The bottom edge of the strip is finished under a narrow straight band with a scallop edge with small shells.
