About this work
Strip of natural-coloured needle lace, reticella. The upper side of the pattern consists of squares, which are built up from four small squares. In the squares stand alternately a small and a large circle. Around the small circle stand flowers in the corners. Around the large circle stand leaves in the corners. This pattern shifts and repeats on the underside of the strip, the squares here are however rounded on the side and bottom to a scalloped edge with semi-circular deep scallops. The upper side of the strip is finished with a narrow straight edge with small squares.
