Strip of bobbin lace with pointed oval and flower in circle under a line with leaves on both sides

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace, Maltese lace. The repeating pattern consists, under a wide ornamental border along the top side, of a more or less straight line with pointed oval leaves on both sides. Every few leaves the line is interrupted by a circle. The lower half of the pattern consists alternately of a pointed oval and a circle, with openwork ornamental borders. In the circle stands a flower with eight pointed oval petals. The motifs are connected by braids. The motifs are made in linen stitch. The (flower) petals are made in form stitch. Such a leaf is known in Maltese lace as a Maltese leaf. The top side is finished straight. The pointed ovals and circles form shells along the bottom side.
