About this work
Linen damask napkin with the coat of arms of Christian IV of Denmark and the monogram CAK. Central field: Asymmetrical pattern with two crowned shields; the upper one with the coat of arms of Christian IV, the lower one with the monogram of Christian and Anna Katharina of Brandenburg (CAK). Around it sixteen shields with coats of arms of his territories, including Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Bergen. Double borders: the outer one with boar, hare and deer hunting, falconers, hunters with boar spears; the inner one with navigation emblems, Roman and 17th-century trophies, muskets and cannons. Around: block border. Double open hem.
