Strip of bobbin lace with candelabra motifs between C-scrolls

Strip of natural-colored bobbin lace: Binche lace. The repeating and symmetrical pattern consists of two different candelabra motifs flanked by two C-scrolls, which stacked on top of each other form the shape of the number 3, alternating mirrored and non-mirrored. The motifs are made in net stitch and linen stitch with openwork edges. The motifs are connected by a trellis ground, a five-hole ground. Besides a few loose snowflakes, here and there small surfaces are filled with decorative grounds, mainly snowflake grounds in different varieties. The top and bottom of the strip are finished straight, with the bottom provided with picots. One short side is finished with a hem.
