About this work
Strip of natural-coloured needle lace, point de France. Pattern of coral scrolls ending in volutes, buds and rosette flowers on vertical axes of symmetry. Irregular ground with picoted spiles. Solid work with cut-outs and largely without relief. However, in various places the scrolls are accentuated with thick cords and also many rosette flowers have a circular cord as flower heart. Shell edge on top and bottom, alternating with C-scrolls and three rosette flowers.
