About this work

Strip of natural-coloured bobbin lace: Flemish guipure lace. The strip is used or intended for a rochet. The repeating pattern is formed by ribbons made in linen stitch and consists of two alternating symmetrical candelabra motifs, which fill the entire width. The ribbons are connected to each other by an irregular plaited ground. Some decorative stitches have been applied. The scalloped edge is attached.
